NASDAP is focused on 7 main areas, these include.
Provide a National voice on issues of concern to Assistant and Deputy Principals.
Raise the status of Assistant and Deputy Principals as a profession.
Create a forum where all Assistant and Deputy Principals can share ideas and experience.
Provide support and guidance to promote the development of competent, well-informed, and confident Assistant and Deputy Principals.
Provide a range of educational conferences, seminars and other forums for professional learning and development.
Promote a comprehensive information-sharing network.
Foster links with relevant educational groups.
The NASDAP Executive have representatives from the 10 regions.
Region 1 - Te Tai Tokerau/ Northland
Region 2 - Auckland x 2 reps
Region 3 - Waikato, Thames Valley and King Country
Region 4 - Bay of Plenty
Region 5 - Te Matau-a-Māui/ Hawkes Bay and Tūranganui-a-Kiwa/Poverty Bay
Region 6 - Taranaki, Wanganui and Manawatu
Region 7 - Te Whanganui-a-Tara/ Wellington and Wairarapa
Region 8 - Te Tauihu/ Top of the South Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough
Region 9 - Ōtautahi , Te Tai Poutini/ Aoraki /Canterbury/West Coast
Region 10 - Ōtākou/ Murihiku/ Otago/Southland
