Warren Henderson

I am currently one of three Deputy Principals at Onslow College & have been serving in this role since 2008.  My main responsibilities are for curriculum and assessment.  We have been undergoing a major curriculum review for some time, which I have lead, with the help of many others.

Prior to Onslow, I was at Heretaunga College in Upper Hutt, where I still live with my wife & family.  I was appointed at Heretaunga to teach English & French.  After several years' teaching, I became a Dean, then moved on to Assistant Principal, and finally Deputy Principal, with responsibility for Teaching & Learning.

My involvement in Wellington DAPA stretches back a number of years including helping with the 2011 national conference.  I have been Chairperson of Wellington DAPA for just over a year & serve on the committee with a small number of enthusiastic members.  We generally try to organise a DAPA event each term, aiming for a variety of topics and venues, to suit as many people as possible.

2014 is my first official year as on the NASDAP executive.  I have enjoyed participating in discussions at a national level.
