National Association of Secondary Deputy and Assistant Principals

Deputy and assistant principals maintain key roles in the successful operation of colleges and high schools.

The association exists for a number of reasons, but primarily as a mouthpiece for the unified voice fostered by consultation among our members. A survey of these professionals throughout our 11 regional associations showed there was strong demand for representation from a single organisation that was separate from the principals' association SPANZ, as well as one that fostered professional development of secondary school deputy and assistant principals.

The association exists also as a means to facilitate the sharing of ideas and information between regional associations; to maintain links between these associations, and to help maintain autonomy but utilise available expertise for salary negotiations, conditions of service and professional development.

The biennial conference for secondary school deputy and assistant principals is facilitated by NASDAP.
